The people in my two – genuine – readings were:
Person 1: Johnny Depp
Although Depp is not (as far as I know!) a writer, he is of course written about – and for – a lot. I tend, like a lot of people, to see him as the fictional Captain Jack Sparrow, so I’m wondering if that Ship in my reading has something to do with that. He is currently in the news for attempting to sue ex-wife Amber Heard for her claim that he was abusive and saying that he was the one who was abused. This would all fit with the Whip card and his reappearance in the news.
Person 2: Dame Maggie Smith
While I am unsure about the possibility of Dame Maggie settling abroad, as one of our best character actresses, she certainly has worldwide recognition and clout, and her Damehood would fit with the establishment feel of the Tower card; she’s been pretty much a national institution in the UK for years. She’s most widely known worldwide, I guess, for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey (and if anyone remembers her in her youth in the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie). I’m aware that she has suffered from illness in recent years (she was suffering from cancer when appearing in The Lady In The Van) but still seems to be going strong; this year she is to be doing a one-woman play in London, quite an undertaking for someone in her eighties!
Why not experiment yourself with reading “blind” for particular public figures – and then go and check online for any details or news about them to see how accurate your readings were?
